Ways to work together
Three Programme Directions
University Exchange and Art and Design Education
Explore teaching conversations, workshops and critiques around a specific question in creative practice. Proposed collaborations would identify learning goals, participants, teaching responsibilities and available resources, with records that help different experiences inform further work.
Exhibition Planning and International Exchange
Develop exhibition ideas around a body of work, a shared theme or a particular setting. Proposed projects would consider curatorial purpose, audience experience, permissions and contributions, then establish a practical scope for presenting work and its context.
Design Competition and Awards Services
Explore support for calls for entries, participant communication, judging processes and the presentation of work. Any confirmed initiative would state its organiser, eligibility, assessment arrangements, fees and permissions.

Three Starting Points
The following working concepts describe possible formats for development. They are not confirmed events or open calls. Dates, participants, collaborators and delivery arrangements have not been announced.
Education concept
IADC Creative Practice Exchange
A proposed workshop centred on a specific question in creative practice.
Students, educators or practitioners would share decisions from their working process, ask questions and develop a short record of what they explored. A possible format uses two exchanges: first to examine a question and its process, then to discuss feedback and revision.
The learning aims would include explaining creative decisions, distinguishing observation from interpretation, responding to other practices and acknowledging contributions. IADC’s proposed role is to coordinate the topic and process, support editing and organise agreed public records.
The theme, facilitators, participants, teaching responsibilities and practical arrangements would be agreed before any invitation to take part.
Exhibition concept
Processes in View
A proposed presentation placing finished works alongside sketches, material tests and accounts from their makers.
Each case would connect a creative question with a work, a key process image and a decision that changed its direction. A first version could bring together a set of online cases, with a physical exhibition or conversation considered according to the available resources.
IADC’s proposed contribution is to coordinate the theme, editing and exchange format. Creators would review their accounts and credits before publication. Display, image and translation permissions would be established for the intended uses.
The curatorial roles, case selection, venue or platform and timetable would be agreed before the presentation is announced.
Awards services concept
Award Programme Development
A proposed collaboration to clarify a design competition’s purpose, participant requirements, review process and presentation of results.
Possible work includes mapping organiser responsibilities, structuring categories and entry materials, developing assessment records, considering conflicts of interest and review procedures, and planning a documented archive of selected work.
The work would depend on an agreed commission, the people available to carry it out and a clear division of responsibilities. No competition launch, entry route, fees, jury appointments or award status is announced by this concept.
Shared support
Research, Documentation and Publications
Interviews, process records, case studies and publications can carry learning beyond a single activity.
Across all three directions, useful documentation explains the question, acknowledges contributions and distinguishes what was observed from what remains open. Public records would use material whose contributors, credits and permissions have been confirmed.
Developing a proposal
Begin with a Clear Outline
Describe the question, the intended audience, the contribution you can make and the practical conditions to consider.
