Ways to work together
What Would You Like to Explore?
University Exchange and Education
Outline a workshop, teaching exchange or critique. Identify the learning question, the intended participants, the proposed facilitators and the preparation or resources the activity would need.
Exhibitions and International Exchange
Describe a body of work, a curatorial theme or a public conversation. Explain the intended audience, the presentation format, the contributions involved and the permissions that would be required.
Design Competitions and Awards
Introduce the purpose of the initiative, its current organisers and the specific work under consideration. Relevant topics include entry information, participant communication, review processes and results presentation.
Research, interviews, writing and documentation can contribute to each direction. Artists, designers, educators, researchers, curators and writers can connect their experience with a specific proposed activity.
A practical outline
What to Include
- A brief introduction to you or your organisation and a relevant public reference.
- The question or purpose of the proposed activity and the direction it relates to.
- The audience, possible participants and the contribution you would like IADC to consider.
- The resources available and any proposed timing, location, delivery format or budget considerations.
- The intended outputs and the material that could be shared with appropriate permission.
Distinguish confirmed arrangements from suggestions. An early outline can leave questions open; it should make clear which decisions would need to be taken together.
